Directions

Arrival by train

The S-Bahn line S1 connects Dresden and Meißen every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays and public holidays (you can find your connection at https://next.bahn.de).

The walk from the stop „Meißen-Altstadt” to St. Afra-Klosterhof takes about 15 minutes, is very nice – but involves a steep climb up the castle hill.

We recommend that cab drivers get off at the Meißen train station. The cab ride from the station to the Klosterhof costs about 8.00 EUR. Since cabs are not always available at the train station, we recommend that you order a cab before you arrive or, if necessary, call one on the spot at: 0800 5737780.
